Beloved GeeWizz family, the Fulcher’s, have been hard at work organising The Sprock Fulcher Memorial Cup Fundraiser which is set to take place on Sunday 29th May 2022 in aid of GeeWizz Charity. The charity football match is in memory of Sprock who sadly passed in September last year. Football was Sprock’s passion, he was an avid Arsenal supporter and is remembered as a loving, happy and courageous soul.
Over the years GeeWizz Charity have helped Sprock and Mick with specialist equipment and support. Sprock sadly suffered with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a muscle wasting disease his brother, Mick, also lives with. The brothers loved to give back and help others, and in 2019 they organised a tea party with their friends and family raising a fantastic £2,888 for GeeWizz. This year Mick has been working hard, visiting businesses to gain raffle prizes for the memorial cup fundraiser. The support Mick has received from local businesses and individuals has been incredibly kind.
Fundraising is truly a part of the Fulcher family, Ashton Fulcher, Mick and Sprock’s nephew raised £400 in memory of his Uncle Sprock last Christmas from the sales of his amazing, recycled wood Christmas Trees.
GeeWizz Charity are so proud to have supported Mick and Sprock and are hugely grateful to all of the Fulcher’s for their ongoing fundraising.
Individuals and groups welcome to join in and be in the chance of winning the Sprock Trophy. Entry is £5.00 per player. After the match, all are welcome at The Greyhound Pub in Claydon where there will be karaoke and a raffle.
